Do I need a LocalLoop wallet?
No. The pilot is designed to work with a supported wallet you already control. LocalLoop never asks for your seed phrase or private key.
Does the merchant receive Australian dollars?
The current verified pilot settles USDC directly to the merchant wallet while every sale is recorded in AUD. Converted-AUD settlement is a later partner route and is not presented as live today.
Is there a LocalLoop transaction fee?
The target merchant plans have a 0% LocalLoop transaction fee. Network fees, optional partner conversion and merchant-funded rewards are separate and shown clearly.
Is this already live with real money?
Not yet. The current public experience is a private Base Sepolia testnet pilot. Mainnet remains locked until the documented legal, security and operating gates are passed.
